  Avoid staying in one of the rooms located at the pool. Late night partying (provided by the hotel) @ the pool, and very thin walls made it very difficult to go to sleep. Live music was supposed to stop at 10pm. Had to call the front desk after 10pm to inquire about the music that was till very loud. Even when the music stopped, there are still many, many people outside your door talking loudly. Fire alarm in the room went off twice in the night. The heater and the strong smell from the heater set the alarm off.
  Have stayed at this hotel several times through the years. Always in the tower, not at the pool rooms.
  Very disappointed. Will likely not return to this hotel.
  The rooms at the pool cost more.

  Simply amazing. For an older hotel, it has been renewed with love and you can tell. The rooms were comfortable and well decorated, with all the modern conveniences of digital TV and fast wi-fi. The restaurant was simply wonderful - great staff with wonderful meals. (also a good scotch selection...) In the morning, the caretaker saw us examining the koi pond, and he invited our kids to help feed them - a truly memorable event with the fist almost coming out of the water to feed. The cost was comparable with quality chain hotels, and much less than other hotels of this quality. The specials available at the website are great deals.
  
  I want to go back - this time for a weekend with the wife, sans kids... ;)
