  My friends and I discovered el chimal after cross country practice one Sunday morning. We had all just ran a long run that morning and we were craving some sweet breakfast foods. We saw that the bakery was now open and went inside to check it out. We were surprised to find that there were no donuts that we were used to seeing so we left, not knowing what we were missing. A couple of days later we had a sweet tooth and decided to go back to the bakery and try some baked goods. We tried a little bit of everything and now it's safe to say we love this bakery! My personal favorite is the Pan Dulce or the tres leches cake. And don't be fooled just because the donuts aren't covered in glaze or chocolate does not mean they aren't good because they are sooo good. Make sure to heat up your selections in the microwave and eat them warm. I enjoy a cup of coffee with pan dulce in the mornings. Come try this great bakery you won't regret it.

  The cashier is very cute plus they have the best Mexican pastries and all at a low price. Also they have the best tres leches cake.
